DeBordieu Club members and their guests have found that December is a the perfect time to enjoy all DeBordieu has to offer!
Located about an hour north of Charleston, SC, 5 miles south of Pawleys Island, DeBordieu Club Members tell me all the time how wonderful it is to be part of a community that has regularly scheduled events, special holiday activities, and gorgeous natural amenities like the beach and creeks that can be enjoyed even in the Fall and Winter due to the moderate climate.
The Christmas celebrations and events at DeBordieu Club kicked off last Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, with Breakfast with Santa and the annual Christmas Tree Lighting.
Coming up this weekend is the annual DeBordieu Club Golf Awards Banquet, Saturday, December 5 at the Golf Clubhouse.
A special “Howl at the Moon” party will be held on Thursday, December 10 on the Beach Club Deck. There will be an optional $5 gift exchange. That should be interesting…. Ha!
OnThursday, December 17, the Ocean Front Beach Club will be the setting for the monthly Birthday Luncheon. DeBordieu Club members and their guests will enjoy the panoramic ocean view while celebrating those with birthdays in December.
Gifts will be donated with children in a crisis situation though the Georgetown Sheriff’s Department’s “
Kids in Crisis” program. Then that night, the fellas will enjoy the monthly DeBordieu Men’s Card Night.
Speaking of kids, there is a special Kid’s Holiday Camp at the Tennis Center.
DeBordieu Club members and their guests will gather at the Golf Clubhouse on the Sunday after Christmas for a delicious Sunday Brunch.
And
then, of course, there’s New Year’s Eve! I went last year…..what a blast!
While DeBordieu Club members and their guests enjoy all of these planned events throughout December, many enjoy the natural amenities DeBordieu offers: access to six and a half miles of secluded beach, beautiful creeks that wind through acres of marshland, and walking and biking the historic old carriage trail through the DeBordieu Conservation easement.
DeBordieu is special all year round, but in December, with the beautiful Christmas decorations, it’s absolutely magical. Come see for yourself!
