Welcome to Pawleys Island, South Carolina!
Pawleys Island is a great place to live!
The island itself is about 4 miles long, filled with mostly beach houses, some of which date back to the 1800s. There are public beach accesses up and down the island, and a large public parking area at the south end.
The Pawleys Island Community is on the mainland, and borders the Waccamaw River, the widest part of the Intracoastal Waterway providing great boating and fishing opportunities.
There is a wonderful variety of options for dining, shopping, site-seeing, church, golf, tennis, medical facilities, and volunteer activities.
A few miles south is the historic little seaport of Georgetown, and about an hour away is Charleston.
A few miles north of Pawleys island is Murrells Inlet, the Seafood Capital of South Carolina, and 30 minutes further north is Myrtle Beach.
Hospitals, airports and everything you could ever want are right at your fingertips, but the residential areas of Pawleys Island are off the beaten path and resemble any other small town neighborhoods.
Whether you’re looking for a primary residence or a vacation home, Pawleys Island has much to offer!
