Labor Day…. it’s also called the “workingman’s holiday.” Well there is no better place to celebrate Labor Day 2014, than at DeBordieu, the private residential community just south of Pawleys Island, SC…. home to some of the hardest working folks in the Carolinas!
Labor Day, celebrated on the first Monday in September, is designed to show respect and appreciation for the work we do in or outside of the home, in big and small companies, union and non-union, or the government. Let’s face it… we all work at something…. somewhere… so this holiday is for ALL of us!
Labor Day is also viewed as the official end of summer. Even though the Fall Equinox is still a couple of weeks away, the kids are back in school, and for South Carolina Football fans….. the Carolina and Clemson football seasons are ready to kick off!
At DeBordieu, the End of Summer Celebration takes place the Sunday before Labor Day. DeBordieu Members and their guests will gather on the ocean front deck of the Blue Heron Grill for a fabulous dinner buffet and enjoy musical entertainment by “The Vistas.” For reservation, please call 843-546-2410.
There will also be evening music on the Blue Heron Deck on Friday, August 29th with John Toppings, and Saturday, August 30th with Greg Van Allen.
