Mac Arnold and Plate Full O’ Blues are coming to Pawleys Island this Friday, October 11, 2013. The 7 PM performance will be held at the Reserve Golf Club in Pawleys Island as a part of the Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art.
Arnold has performed with James Brown, the Charles Miller group and saxophonist A.C. Reed. He joined the Muddy Waters Band and helped shape the electric blues sound that inspired the rock and roll movement of the late 60’s and early 70’s.
Regular guests of the band included Eric Clapton, Paul Butterfield, Mike Bloomfield, and Elvin Bishop. The Muddy Waters Band (as a unit) shared the stage with the likes of Howlin’ Wolfe, Elmore James, Jimmy Reed, Junior Wells, Big Joe Williams, and Big Mama Thornton, just to name a few.
Tickets are $25 – General Admission, $35 – Reserved Seating, $50 – Preferred Seating (if you go the $25 route, bring a comfortable folding chair (like a beach chair) to sit in while you’re not dancing!)
