Below is a very nice note I received from them after they bought their place at DeBordieu:

“Troi:

Thanks for your involvement in the recent purchase of our “dream” home in DeBordieu.  Both my wife Sherri and I grew up vacationing in South Carolina. As children, our parents trekked from Pittsburgh PA annually to Hilton Head Island. As young adults, we got engaged on Kiawah Island.  As young parents, we took our kids to both.  All of our best family and vacation memories are deeply rooted in South Carolina.

Several years ago when our kids were pre-teens, we were fortunate that some friends lent us their DeBordieu home and we fell in love.  DeBordieu had all of the commensurate South Carolina attributes that we have always loved:  Beach, Bikes, Golf, Tennis, Boating, Wildlife, Swimming Pools etc. but added the security and sense of community that we (apparently) had been seeking.  Seven years later as our last child at home approaches his freshman year in college, we are proud to call DeBordieu our home-away-from-home.

Once we enter the DeBordieu entry circle then pass through the security gates, the weight of the world is left behind. Miles and miles of undeveloped conservation land lead to a well planned residential community built to maximize the enjoyment of the ocean and the Country Club while embracing the few who are lucky enough to call it home.

Your friendship AFTER the sale has been the most impressive and has proven to be more valuable than your knowledge of the housing market in DeBordieu.  As we settle into our 2^nd home, your willingness to guide us to the trusted and well respected venue’s in the area such as restaurants, locally owned retail stores, dry cleaners, physicians,  and other service providers, has insured that we feel immediately part of our new community. ”
