You would not believe how many people mispronounce the name of the street. So to clarify, that it is caBAniss, and not CANnabis, I offer the following.
Most of us have heard of Cannabis…. (and some of us admit to trying it, even if they didn’t inhale), but here is Wikipedia’s definition:

“Cannabis is a genus of flowering plant indigenous to central Asia and the Indian subcontinent. Cannabis has long been used for hemp fiber, for hemp oils, for medicinal purposes, and as a recreational drug. Information about cannabis was very easy to find.
Cabaniss, however, was a little more involved. Apparently, it’s someone’s last name, but I’m not sure whose. I found a gorgeous daylily that bears the name Hemerocallis “Stephen Cabaniss.” If you’re into daylilies, you might want to click on that picture and visit their website!
