As much as we love summer here on the Waccamaw Neck, cozy autumn days bring a slower pace and sense of new beginnings. Embrace the season and feel great about it with the help of Cabana Christmas Trees & Pumpkin Patch. This local business, located on the west side of Highway 17 between Pawleys Island and Litchfield, first gained traction in our fair community by becoming the go-to source for THE most beautiful live Christmas trees. Locals embraced them with equal fervor when business owner Tammy Sehorn, a petite powerhouse of a business woman, added pumpkins to her offerings.
Well, it’s that time again and this year Tammy’s joined forced with the Georgetown Chamber
and Baskervill Food Pantry to give back – through her pumpkin patch – to the local community.
The goal is to plop at least one pretty pumpkin in front of every business in the 29585-zip code.
Not only will it make the entire area feel fun and festive, 100% of the net proceeds will benefit
Baskervill Food Pantry and help feed the less fortunate among us. It’s a darned good reason to
embrace the season lift our collective community spirit. Do a good thing and order a pumpkin (or
several!) today! It’s win-win for all of us!

And, by the way, Cabana Pumpkin Patch & Market will open to the public for a month – or until
the pumpkins run out – beginning October 1. Hours are Monday – Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM
and on Sundays from 9 AM to 3 PM. Look forward to a large selection of pumpkins in all
varieties, shapes & sizes, as well as cornstalks, Indian corn, gourds and more. And lest you
think autumn decor is all you’ll find, know there will also be family activities like a hay maze for
the littles, pumpkin painting, games, seasonal treats, photo opportunities and more! Find ‘em on
Facebook as the season unfolds!
