While our thoughts and prayers are for our neighbors in the midlands and other ravaged areas of South Carolina, those who love DeBordieu, like me, are so very grateful to have been spared the brunt of this crazy storm.
The flooded DeBordieu roads are drying up, the water covering much of the DeBordieu Club Golf Course has started to recede, and while the DeBordieu Beach experienced some erosion, the beach renourishment project has done it’s job of protecting the dunes and the property behind them.
If the DeBordieu Colony Community Association had not renourished when they earlier this year, there would have been extensive damage to the dunes, but as you can see in these pictures, the DeBordieu Beach is A-OK. It even had a rainbow over it this afternoon!
If you have a question about your specific DeBordieu property, please let me know and I’ll get an update to you tomorrow.
